RYAN K. PHILLIPS
Managing Partner
Currently Ryan Phillips is the Managing Partner & President of A.O. Phillips & Associates in Houston, TX. During his tenure, Ryan has overseen the transformation of AOP’s client consulting engagement process and assisted in the expansion of the firm’s service offerings to multiple new clients.
For more than 20 years Ryan has built a wealth of experience providing executive management/clients with objective analysis of key management functions to improve business processes, safeguard assets, and increase profitability.
Ryan has extensive consulting and internal audit experience having served in management roles at KPMG & Halliburton previously in his career. Audits/process reviews were conducted in over 18 different countries including Malaysia, Venezuela & Kuwait. Engagements varied from traditional accounting function reviews to complex construction operational assessments.

JOSEPH SMITH
Project Manager
Joseph Smith started with AOP more than a decade ago and has since been a catalyst in increasing the HUB and DBE participations for several clients which include TxDOT, Midtown TIRZ, and the Texas General Land Office. He has been a consultant to over 300 subcontractors as to their potential, development, and ultimate success, leading to subcontractors acquiring over six-hundred million dollars in contract awards.
Joseph began his career, over 35 years ago, working in the nuclear industry for Bechtel Power Corp. in the areas of engineering supervision, contract administration, and field design. He has since worked for multiple general contractors, State of Texas agencies, and has owned and operated his own architectural plan review and inspection firm. His expertise includes project management, estimating, and community outreach.

ANDREW B. EARLES
Director of Technical Services
Andrew Earles started his career with A.O. Phillips & Associates in 2003. During his tenure, Andrew has assisted in the expansion of the firm’s service offerings and addition of multiple new clients. Andrew began his career in with Hatfield Crookless Architects, in Dallas, TX. Prior to A.O. Phillips, Andrew served as a Construction Manager with Trammell Crow Company in the Houston area and a nation-wide Project Manager with Sysco Foods, Inc.
Andrew has established an excellent rapport with previous clients by paying meticulous attention to deliverables and his ability to solve complex project challenges. For more than 25 years Andrew has built a wealth of experience completing construction projects (large and small) and providing business development to Texas’ Small, Minority, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (SMWDBE) community.
